2026 Stories

Who would pass up an opportunity to grab a meal in the south end? Not I! After enjoying an afternoon with Steve, my nephew Nick, & his wife Krysten at the Museum of Fine Arts, hunger set in. I had Esti’s Hot & Sour Soup from Myers & Chang on my mind.

JANUARY 2026

This month’s story is focused on digital food photography - the delicious offerings we enjoyed at dinner that I captured with my iPhone 17 Pro!

DIN DIN WITH FAMILY AT

MYERS & CHANG - A SOUTH END STAPLE!

BOSTON

It’s time for dinner at one of the best restaurants in the South End! I love the font of the lettering for “Myers & Chang” on this window! :D

Happy 2026!!! Even with snowbanks left over from a winter storm, there was thankfully a decent amount of parking on Washington Street that night. We scurried out of the cold inside to the restaurant. This place stays busy on the weekends and it’s always a good idea to make a reservation!

We sat down at our table of four and we captured a few photos before the food came out…

Our happily married “double date” couple across the table from us! You couldn’t ask for better company! :D

Back at it again for 2026!!! :D Photo Credit: Krysten Gosztyla

Steve & I took a cute selfie together…but we’ll save that for the end of the story :) Now, onto the awesome food we enjoyed!

Loved the presentation here! Pork Belly is delicious!

We started off with Pork Belly Buns and Korean Fried Chicken Buns. Both were incredible…I’d say my favorite were the Korean Fried Chicken Buns!

The Korean Fried Chicken buns are my idea of comfort food! :)

I do not personally enjoy Salmon, but everyone else thought these Crispy Friend Salmon Rolls were great!

Mama Chang’s Pork + Chive Dumplings are always a hit. One of the best items on the menu.

In my opinion the best item on the menu: Esti’s Hot & Sour Soup!

This soup is an absolute masterpiece

Wok-Charred Udon Nooodles with Chicken + Bok Choy are wonderful too!

Time for Dessert!

The creme caramel is paired with a bruleed banana! It was a great way to end dinner!

Dinner was incredible. Steve & I love going out to eat with others - especially our family. It was years ago that I got my nephew Nick hooked on Hot & Sour Soup. Now he mentions wanting to have it nearly everytime we talk about hanging out in Boston.

I feel that 2026 is going to be my year. With everyone’s support, I can’t wait to see what’s next!

The final photo of this months story is a great photo taken by Krysten of us all at the Museum of Fine Arts in front of a mirror - I love this photo! We had such a great afternoon hanging out in Boston! :)

Here is to 2026!!!

It had honestly been forever since my husband Steve & I celebrated Valentine’s Day in the city. I left Valentine’s Day completely open this year so I could devote the day spending time with my favorite person! We had an amazing afternoon and found a delicious new spot for soup dumplings!

FEBRUARY 2026

This month’s story is focused on digital photography I captured mid-afternoon leading into the evening on Valentine’s Day!

MID-AFTERNOON

INTO THE EVENING

WITH MY HUSBAND ON

VALENTINE’S DAY!

BOSTON

This month’s story begins in the Back Bay at Lyrik and ends at the waterfront across from the Rose Kennedy Greenway. I saw on Instagram than Lyrik was giving out Lego roses and I wanted a coffee too. Steve’s request for the afternoon was we found somewhere cool (and new) in Chinatown to check out for dinner.

Below are photos captured from the afternoon in the Back Bay!

However, this was a very popular event and the line was very long. Steve wasn’t feeilng standing out in the cold in a line to wait for a Lego rose (he offered to grab me one off Amazon) so we went inside George Howell for coffee instead! We stopped by the Double Heart sculpture too! :)

A long line with a vibe all its own :)

The George Howell Coffee in the back Back Bay does have small booths but a couch is nowhere in sight. The coffee here is delicious!

One good heart desrves another, connected as two!

Lyrik was giving out free Lego Rose Kits and this display was next to the stand where they were giving out the roses. The Lego roses mixed in with real roses was such a cool idea! I love it!

The mid-afternoon turned into the late aftenroon and we were hungry. We headed to Chinatown in search of dinner. We decided to check out Fuchunju for Soup Dumplings! The food here is wonderful!

Soup dumplings always hit the spot on a cold day!

After dinner, we did the 20 minute walk to the Rose Kennedy Greenway by the carousel. Positioned right next to it, there was a carousel there for the month of February. The line was very long as there were many people in the city for Valentine’s Day. I took a few digital photos on my iPhone of the Ferris Wheel. I loved all the neon lights!

A digital photo of the Ferris Wheel on the Rose Kennedy Greenway…sadly it was only there for the month of February 2026

Another digital photo of the Ferris Wheel in the background with the Carousel in the foreground. The carousel is a permanent fixture of the Rose Kennedy Greenway!

We left the Rose Kennedy Greenway and headed back towards the garage where I had parked the car. We walked alongside Fanuel Hall and as we approached Congress Street….we found City Hall decked out in red for Valentine’s Day! ❤️

Thank you to my husband Steve for being the best Valentine I could ever ask for. We are incredibly supportive of one another and I am very proud of that.

I loved spending the day just the two of us enjoying the city we love! ❤️

I also brought my 35mm film camera along with me. Since it was so bright in this area, I thought it woudl be cool to capture the Ferris Wheel on 35mm Portra 800. Below are the photos I captured on 35mm film!

Between the afternoon and the evening - it was a wonderful day to celebrate our love!
